Innsbruck Lodge
Mammoth Lakes, California
Developer/Owner: Eastern Sierra Community Housing
ZDC project managed The Innsbruck Lodge rehab from conception to completion. The project is the acquisition and rehab of a charming Tyrolean inn into 16 apartments providing permanent housing for local workforce families in the resort community of Mammoth Lakes. The acquisition is the result of a joint grant awarded to the Town of Mammoth Lakes and the developer for $4.56 million through the Project Homekey Program. The Mono County Board of Supervisors also made a financial commitment. Unlike other Homekey projects that are restricted to very-low income, the Innsbruck Lodge serves households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) who are struggling to find safe, affordable housing. For a single-person household that is a maximum of $45,300. The scope of work included installation of kitchens in each unit, as well as new finishes, building systems, life safety features, and accessibility features. This project “..showcase[s] the spirit of what Homekey is all about – state and local partners working together to do more for those who need it,” said Department of Housing and Community Development Director Gustavo Velasquez.
